I have too much nosh left over.
I try to recycle as much as I can, but still
I have too much junk left over.
Is there a trick to not having so much left over?
Also, I don't like to have so much nosh at home,
Because it's too tempting. I love chips, etc.

Donate it to Tomchei Shabbos or a local food pantry.

Bring it to work or send it to work/yeshiva with DH.

Throw it out. Junk is not food; it's not baal tashchis.

Sometimes I take leftovers to work. You never know, the food that you dislike could be someone else's favorite.
Whenever I get junk food that I don't want to eat, but I feel tempted to eat, I just dispose of it. And I'm the type that absolutely hates wasting anything. But, discarding unhealthy food isn't really wasting it, just like throwing away spoiled food isn't wasting it. Disposing of it into your body is worse. Your guf isn't a garbage can!

Buy less to begin with. Assemble only a few ahead of time, and then cannibalize what you receive to make MM that you will deliver later. Leave yourself open to sending MM to people who are not on your "must give" list--the family down the block who isn't frum, the college girl who recently moved into the apt. downstairs, the guy at your dh work who isn't frum but goes to his mom's seder.

I also agree with bringing it to work, your own of dh's. AFAIK food pantries have to follow certain nutritional guidleines and distribute only food, not junk food. At least that's true for the one in my community.
