so let us put cutting in line to the side ... do you notice who is in front of you on line ... behind you ... do you mind your own business
I've helped people put stuff on the counters
notice people crying & giving them a listening ear & a hug
a child needing a tissue or to get their foot in or out of being stuck in the wagon
kibbitzed in yiddish with a bubby-like woman who needed attention
had FUN conversations sometimes cause the person I was actually with was in their phones or sometimes cause we had similar items in our carts

Sure, I often make friends with the little ones in the cart seat, while their mothers are paying. Held crying babies while their mother unloads.....helped elderly unload and package....why not?
