What are the school options? If my son is entering reception this September do we have no chance? We are looking for single relations class. If it's a mixed building it's ok but want the classes to be separate. We also want a state aided school as we really can't afford to pay full tuition. We are in a bit of a rut so only moving to nw in a few months so have no special district favour. The only schools I understand would fit out criteria would be Menorah primary or Torah Temimah. Are there any other options? And would we have a chance with those at this time? We want it to be a good secular and Kodesh education. We know we are really late. Do we have any chance? We also have another son 2 years younger so we would really like to have them both settled.

Tia

Torah temimah
Menorah primary
Menorah foundation
Hasmonean
Beit shvidler
Noam
Pardes
Torah vdaas
In edgware - tashbar

How are you planning on getting into a school when you haven't yet applied? Its hard enough getting your kids in when you apply on time and that was succos time.

Noam is an independent (ie private) and I have not heard they're planning to go voluntary aided.

Also I thought Menorah Primary is co-ed in limudei chol. but I could be mistaken. They have a sibling school Menorah Foundation in Edgware but I'm quite sure they're coed both LK and chol. Ditto for Hasmonean Primary (Hendon) and Beit Shvidler (Edgware)--they're both co-ed.

Good luck as I'm afraid it's quite late in the game for reception placement Sep 14. Actually your best bet would be to call NAJOS that is supposed to help admission coodination. http://najos.org/ 020.8432.6327

There is also Tashbar in Edgware but it's independent.

OP thanks for the replies. I know it's crazy late I just wanted to know if we even had a chance before we even think about applying. We live in another area of London and have our kid in a school that we are not so happy about especially as we will probably be moving to NW at some point. Obviously if we get him in we will move for this September.

My question is have we missed the boat and will it get harder as the kids group older. Like I was under the impression if we don't get him in this year then we will never have a chance. Also is it worth putting my younger son on a list just in case?

Thanks so much for all the replies.

IIRC Menorah is separate but it has always been very hard to get in there unless you're a member of Munks.
