I want to save myself some trips to the shaitel macher and cut my own hair. How do I do it at home?
I wear it in a bun. My hair is long and thick and starting to bump up under the sheitel.
Any advice/ experience?

I just put it in pony after a shower and snip however long off the end of the ponytail.

me too, put it in a pony and snip, then take the pony out and pretend to even it out.
I find it super fun and liberating

how long is it ...
I would use 2 long barrettes ... one to gather hair by the neck & the other at the length you wish to cut - well a little above ... then snip in a straight line right under the barrette
use a good scissor

I put it in a pony at the base of my neck and cut a few inches below it. It makes kind of a reverse bob!

My husband cuts my hair. I put it in a ponytail and show him how long I want it.
