My daughter is in between sizes and usually with dresses I can go a size down, but my daughter is tall for her age. Should I go a size up?

With free shipping and free returns, I'd just order both sizes. I find Zara, for adults, to be very inconsistent.

Go up a few sizes. I got my dd a dress this winter and she wore 2 sizes bigger and it came just till her knees!

In my experience, Zara's girl dresses run huge. Not long, but very wide.

Agreed.

If your daughter is tall, and you need the dress to cover her knees, Zara might not be the best place to shop. I does depends on the style/length though

What others have said. They tend to run short.

If your daughter is slim then the bigger sizes May be far too wide on her,
I find for younger girls the lengths run ok but as they get older the dresses get shorter and shorter so if you want a knee length dress you would have to take at least a size or two bigger and unless your daughter is quite well built the bigger sizes would drown her.
My 6 year old daughter has been wearing age 5 to 6 it just hits her knee and is fine, but on my 12 year old the same dress would be well well above her knees and the bigger size would be massive all over,

Another vote for wide! They are adorable and most hit my daughters knee. She's 6, so I order 6/7 (as opposed to 5/6) and the length is perfect. I had to return some things because they were just too wide, though.

I got my 7 yr old a size 7-8 and then bought a second dress to add to the bottom. ( I also used it to fix my other girls dresses)
