I have toddlers that not only stash food but get food stuck to their clothing so this year I have found chumetz in some crazy places.

Pasta behind the toilet in the basement (never ever used)

Cookies in sock drawer

Pretzels in a dolls front pocket

And a bag if honey wheat twist in my breast pump bag (that I have not used in 5 months!)

So where have you found mannish chumetz?

I was cleaning for Pesach and found a missing pair of Shabbos shoes in a rarely used dresser drawer. Not Chametz, but they were new shoes I had bought for ds a few months ago and they got lost before he ever wore them. I replaced them long ago, and now he has the old new shoes for Pesach.

Cheerios stuck to toddlers' clothing: exactly! To the women who think there's no chametz outside their kitchen....ha! Seriously, if you have kids, you have to look through things. That doesn't mean you have to scrub every drawer and nook, but you have to visually check.

For the reasons you wrote, I don't consider any place crazy to find chametz!

I cleaned my entire upstairs. One of my DS started yelling about a pretzel. He found in middle of the hallway a piece of pretzel. Not sure how it go there since no one ate a pretzel that day, and the floor was just vacuumed.

I have a huge, heavy, antique wardrobe. There's about a one inch gap undreneath it. I can't move it by myself, so one year I just left it in place and cleaned around it.

DD was about 3 at the time, when we moved out of that apartment. When the wardrobe was moved, I found at least a dozen half eaten, petrified sandwiches under there! shock

THIS, my friends, is why we say "and all of the chometz I don't know about" in the nullification statement!

One year right after pesach I found soup croutons under the guest room bed. To this day it remains a mystery. Food is not allowed in the guest apartment ever. We cleaned it for pesach and dh checked there by bedikas chometz.

I can't think of anything too unusual myself at the moment, but I just wanted to say "Thank You" for starting this funny thread!

Especially if you have other families over for shabbos...I know my kids and I watch them while they're eating. But other parents let their kids roam my house and I can't always keep an eye on them and see whether they have challah in their hands that they decided to deposit in a random upstairs closet that we rarely use.
