I have 2 questions regarding what 2 year old girls wear for shabbos. First, I noticed a lot of dresses + pants sets. That just seems a little funny to me because I feel like if it's a dress, the only thing they might wear underneath is a diaper cover, and if it's pants, the only thing they would wear with that is a shirt. So what's this dresses + pants?

If I find nice pants that the main color is black, what top could they wear with that? A plain black shell wouldn't do it, would it?

Thanks for your help Smile

Do you mean pants or leggings? I've seen tunic type dresses with leggings. To me that has a dressier look than a top and pants as the top is longer than a typical top but not as long as a dress which gets in the way for playing. To me, diaper covers are for crawling babies not 2 year olds. I also wouldn't put a 2 year old in pants for Shabbos it's too casual for me.

Mostly it's based on your own preferences. Personally, I put my girls in nice dresses or a nice top and skirt. I don't like the look of a dress and leggings for Shabbos but that's just my own preference. Also not a huge fan of pant outfits for Shabbos. But like a said each person's tastes are different so just go with what you like.

pretty feminine dresses with matching pantaloons / bubble bottoms / bloomers - that cover the diaper or panties

Just put her in a nice dress with a lightweight cardigan over it.

I mean leggings, and these things were dresses, not tunics.

What about something like this?

What can you wear with it? Or is it not Shabbos.

Depends on ur personal aesthetic (and neighborhood) .... Some do tunic and leggings, or dress or shirt/cardigans with leggings, etc.... Theres no wrong choice!

I got that skirt and matched it to this sweater. Both the grapefruit and pink scoop match it.

I just went to children's place today- they have a few different colored solid shirts. My daughter is a little older (almost 5, wearing 5T or xs) but they had lots of really cute stuff.

Just remember a one piece dress will be a lot easier than a skirt and shirt that will always be falling and look messy. Whenever I get the little ones a two piece outfit I attach the top and bottom with large clear snaps to keep them looking neat. Zara's has beautiful dresses.
