My close friend is having an upsherun for her son and I want to give a thoughtful special gift..any ideas?

I'm making an upsherin in a few weeks here are some things ds would love right about now : eli learns about safety books
Duplo sets
Wooden train track set
Scooter
Magnatiles
Fire truck with noise and lights
Honestly kids at that age like pretty much anything. To be thoughtful don't get anything you wouldn't want to have yourself like something with a ton of noise.

I have only 1 son. He is now 23, but I still remember 2 of his upsherin gifts. One was 5 colored t-shirts with pockets (good quality), 5 plaid shorts, 5 pair of white socks, and 2 baseball caps. Everything was mix and match bright colors. This was his school wardrobe for the year (we live in Miami). The second gift was 3 pair of tzittzit, 2 velvet kippas, and the Alef-Bet book they would use in school in Kindergarten. I'm into useful gifts and I greatly appreciated these gifts.

A small Becher is very special.
I love the children's books "I go to school" "I go to shul" etc. You can buy the whole set.
