I think a week is considered safe, don't know how far beyond. Mr. Google might know.

I know - that's why I was confused - it was a little more weird & the type of pot was different than my normal weekday pot ...

Eggs do not have to smell like sulphur smd be green.

Sulphur smell can be avoided by cooking over moderate heat. I cover eggs with water and then turn off as soon as it boils vigorously and let it sit for ten minutes. No over cooking, no ring, no smell.

Google Herve This- boiled eggs

I threw mine away before the 2nd days. I don't think it would be safe to eat after 1 week.

yeah try cooking eggs in a timely manner while you're trying to do about a thousand different things erev pesach ...

as for the poor eggs - they usually get eaten sometime - but a couple got left behind & I felt badly for them - hence opening them up just to make sure - I wouldn't really eat anything that sits in my fridge for 4 days let alone a week

as for the solution - aside from selling them to whomever was going to throw rotten pesach eggs at chani8 ...

I made a sunnyside - not so easy - the kind that is so well done that the inside is like a hard-boiled egg but the white is crunchy ...

why that is less lazy than finding the pot to boil new eggs - I'm unsure

I did have a rancid hazelnut/filbert ... yeah that didn't go too well ... but I'm still here to tell the tale of how very bitter it was - maybe there was a worm inside & I certainly didn't have any tequilla to wash it down Drunken Smile
