Imagine some Mafiosi types in a dark alley, the boss giving directions to some brass knuckles wearers, one of whom might be wearing a wire. You think he's going to say, "Ok, you're job is to kill Ploni"? No. He's going to say, "If it's not too much trouble can you rub out that guy we were talking about yesterday?" And when the cops come he'll tell them that he was sending his personal masseur over to his dear friend and was shocked and dismayed to have heard about all the yellow tape surrounding Ploni's home/office/trailer.

So those of us with warped senses of humor will see all sorts of lovely euphemisms such as "rub him out" in the most unlikely places. Having seen them one too many times, I thought it was high time for a dedicated thread.
