What can I use to replace the dry white wine in the Sunflower Spinach Pie. Recipe posted here http://imamother.com/forum/vie.....17017
I dont have any wine in the house (only grape juice) and I wont buy a bottle of wine just for this recipe. Can I use apple juice instead? And other ideas to replace the wine?
Dough:
17 oz of flour
1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
3/4 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt

The apple will kick a little sweetness in. Keep putting sugar in generously, stirring, until the vinegar tastes on your finger like cheap wine. Like it's no longer clear that it's vinegar, it's become something else. Then go for it. Don't worry.
As spinach has its own sourness, I vote for the apple.
