Someone asked me if I was going to root for the US or Argentina. At first I said I couldn't care less, but than I said I don't want Argentina to win because if they do, they will act absolutely nuts. As it is when they win a regular game, they act crazy, but a world cup, oy!!
What about you?

The opening odds were as follows:
Brazil 3/1
Argentina 9/2
Germany 11/2
Spain 6/1 (well they're already out...)
14/1 Belgium
20/1 France
25/1 Columbia, Italy, Portugal
28/1 Holland (seems like they're doing better than expected), England (no comments), Uruguay
66/1 Russia
100/1 Switzerland
USA is all the way down 150/1 but still above Australia soccoroos at 750/1.

since I could care less if any of the likely winners win, I'll hope for the minute extremely unlikely but still just about possible chance of the UK winning.

More than extremely unlikely because they're already out.

Germany or Russia.
( Eventhough I know, that Germany maybe has a chance of winning this and Russia certainly doesn't)

USA is out! My kids are so upset. They're happy Argentina won, though. If the US won, they would have played against Argentina next and they weren't sure about who they would want to win. Now they don't have to worry. I feel a little bad what the other kids are going to say to them in school tomorrow.

Did anyone watch that Argentina v Swiss match yesterday? Boy that was painful to watch. Though I'm actually quite surprised how Swiss made it to knockouts. The next biggie here is Friday's Germany v France match--would Merkel show up again? (though I'm convinced it was her look-alike at that Portugal match).

Good Grief!! 7-1!?!?!? I suspected Brazil is against the odds without Neymar and Silva but this is shocking.

My kids were so excited Brazil lost. Tomorrow is a big game here and everything is closed because it's Independence Day. Perfect timing.

The brazilian team was really emotionally unstable without Thiago Silva and Neymar. Thiago is captain of the team, so without him everything was really disorganized. And Neymar could have become paralyzed, so I think this caused a big impact on the team.
But we have to admit that Germany played fantastically, they were amazing in the field!

I could not possibly are any less about the Mundial than I already do.
Unless any teams are planning on donating their prize $ to help Arabs kill Jews:
[The Algerian team donated their prize $ to Gaza, which seems to use all donation to build rockets instead of taking care of their citizens.]
In which case, I am rooting against those teams.
