I loved Dallas TX while I lived there.. Very warm!! Very small and definitely a lot cheaper than brooklyn.
I lived in a 4 bedroom house with 2 car garage back yard etc. etc. etc. for 1200 or a one bedroom for like 500 a month.
The Rav and his wife there and many other people are dolls. Big shul has a kiddish every week so the community is very close. Wonderful place! |
We live in Dallas and the community really is amazing but it's not as cheap as you remember it!! Houses for rent are 2300+ and to buy starting at 450,000. I'm sure it's still cheaper than ny but its gone up so much in the last few years and the property taxes are reeeaaally high. However, the community is so so warm and and welcoming we love it!

When did you live there, and it what area did you live? Up north or down south?
My parents just moved out, and they were paying like $1300 for a 3 bedroom apartment in a complex. Maybe up north it's different, but it isn't that cheap...at least not anymore!
