B'h I have a l'chaim of someone close coming up. It's been so long since I was at a l'chaim. What does one wear to a l'chaim these days?
Thanks!

I would say simple shabbos outfit. You're always safe with black of course.

op here:
Thanks agreer. Just goes to show how things changed because when I was in the 'parsha,' we wore more casual shabbos type to a l'chaim.

It depends.. Is it the kind of thing that will be in someone's house or a simple affair in a shul? If so, regular shabbos clothing is fine. If it's going to be a more upscale affair then you will want to be a little dressier.

Lechaim is definitely plain shabbos or better everyday. P.s. I just made a lechaim. Wore simple shabbos that could pass for better everyday.
