I am looking to buy the following things, and have not found them at NPGS or Target. Where should I be shopping for these
1-coconut cream (it should come in a can and is thicker than coconut milk)
2- arrowroot Starch
3- vodka- can I get this only at a liquor store?

Not sure about the first two (try a baking supply store maybe), but in the State of NJ vodka, liquor etc. can only be sold in a store which possesses a liquor license which will generally be a wine/liquor store.

I once saw cocunut Cream at Shoprite - goya brand - but it did not have a hechsher. Does it need one? [I didn't get it]. Do you know what brand you are looking for.

You can get the first two at Supreme Health.
You can get vodka at any liquor store. A lot of the non-Jewish liquor stores (Rite Liquors, etc) have a big kosher section.
Yum - sounds like you are making something heavenly.....

debs- I am trying to get my parve ice cream recipes to be softer and richer. I want to substitute coconut cream for the coconut milk I have been using, and I have heard that arrowroot powder and a tablespoon of vodka can aerate frozen goodies. You're invited on shabbos to see how well we did!
