I recently began looking into going for an associates in dental hygiene. After seeing lots and lots of negative comments online, both from those who recently graduated and those who have been in the industry for years, I'm worried that its not a good choice. Tons of people (online) are saying that the market is way oversaturated and its very hard to find a job. And when you do find a job, its very part time and dentists will send you home if someone cancels etc etc...

so if you are a dental hygienist, can you please tell me if you had difficulty finding a job? Were you able to find a job that had enough hours ? Did you have to take several jobs at different offices to equal up to the hours you wanted? Would you advise for or against someone pursuing this career now?

Any advice from dental hygienists would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!!
