Please answer poll, and also:

Which siddur do you use, and which Yehi Ratzon does it state after candle lighting?

Yehi Ratzon.. Shetichonen Osi... Ligadel Banim etc

OR

Yehi Ratzon... Sheyibaneh Beis Hamikdosh etc.

Does anyone know the source/reason why some people say Yehi Ratzon.. Shetichonen Osi... Ligadel Banim etc
while others say
Yehi Ratzon... Sheyibaneh Beis Hamikdosh etc.
and others say BOTH?

I've only seen siddurim/machzorim with one or the other yehi ratzon after candle lighting, not with both.

Also- do you say the same yehi ratzon or different when lighting for Shabbos and/or for Yom Tov?

Does anyone have a siddur or machzor that says the Yehi Ratzon... Sheyibaneh Beis Hamikdosh after the bracha of lihadlik ner shel? What is the name of the siddur/machzor?

Ruchel- do you say any tefillah at candle lighting, or just the bracha lihadlik ner shel?

I have a pretty printed card, given to me at my vort or around then which has both, so I have always said both. First yehi ratzon is essentially personal, and I add whatever I want to daven for that week, and the second for klal yisrael/ mashiach which I feel should always be a part of any tefillah.

If I'm away or don't have access to them, I say my own equivalent tefillah in English. I find hadlakat hanerot one of the few times where I can usually concentrate enough to say a meaningful prayer of some kind.

First Sheyiboneh BHM"K and then Shetizakeini, and then a couple more private and personal ones.

Every time I do one of the three mitzvah specifically for us women, mikvah, challah or candle lighting, I say yehi ratzon sheyboneh bais hamikdash. It's an opportunity only us yiddisha mamas have. After that I say whatever tefillos I desire.

Switch the word friend for "organization" and that's me.

I say 'legadel bonim'. I have a framed picture of the text.

I also say Tefilas Chana as a segulah for sons who are talmidei chachomim, and the Tefila of the Chazon Ish for hatzlacha in Torah, in which I mention all my children (and IL children) if I am not too tired, otherwise I just say bonai uvnosai.

I actually feel a bit guilty that I don't name all my DGC. I ought to make a poll for bubbies. But I am usually too tired. (and I should print them out to make it easier...)
