I'm thinking of buying a single Phil & Teds stroller (The Smart Lux). If you've owned a Phil & Teds, especially if you have this model, can you give me your honest opinion:

1. What's the quality like?
2. What's the deal with the air-filled tires--how quickly do they go flat or need to be replaced? I live in Israel so I am not exactly treating it with kid gloves.

Thanks!

I have a Phil and Ted for 6 1/2 years now (the single that converts to a double)
Its from the days before Phil and Ted was owned by Mountain Buggy.
It is starting to die now but I think that is pretty good. The only thing that went before was the rubber around the handle, but I think that happens to many carriages eventually. At this point the fabric is wearing out in some places. But I've used it pretty hard. I think I've replaced the tires a total of 4 - 5 times over the past 6 1/2 years.
If the air filled tires a concern you can get slime tires that don't pop as easily. I haven't really had a problem with that.

thanks, sky.

anyone own a Phil & Teds since they were acquired? I want to know if it still the same good quality that it used to be.

Alternatively, has anyone bought a Mountain Buggy recently and can tell me if it's true that their quality has gone downhill?
