My baby's diapers got really interesting looking.
They are green and mucusy looking, sorta like diahrea.
What could it be? Does it mean not eating enough?

I doubt it means he's not eating enough. It can be that he's fighting a virus/infection like a cold or cough. My baby gets that. It's like diarrhea I guess. Or it can be a sign that your baby is getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk - the fatty part. Nurse from one side per feeding, if possible.

Unless you see blood, no need to worry about colors in nursing babies' stool.

Is dark green mucusy normal? Today was actually a bit more yellow. Just fed on demand.
I forgot where I read it. Maybe in "what to expect the first year".

My DS had green mucusy diapers for most of his first year. I only fed him on one side a feeding and he was fine.

You calmed me down so much! I was seriously ready to just give up. Every time I see one of those diapers I'm like OMG something wrong with him....
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I am so glad, just please mention it to your doctor if it is ongoing. He may want to do stool samples just to make sure. Mine did and there was no problem.

Has your baby always had these stools? My baby did. And I was alarmed. We took a stool test and found out he is pancreatic insufficient. He needs to take supplements inorder to help him gain weight. But if your baby had normal stools, and suddenly it changed, I wouldn't worry.
