I'm desperate for one for a wedding at the end of Aug. I live oot and have found nothing locally.
I tried Davids bridal, macys, nordstroms and a few local bridal shops.

Do you have that I can buy, borrow, have? size 10, but maybe I could squeeze into an 8.

I will pay for shipping

Alternatively, if you do not have one, do you know a good place that I can order one online with returns and reliable quick shipping?

Light in the box does not have plum. closest color is grape and Im not sure how different the colors really are, but I do not want to stand out..

Dolly, that is a great dress, but unfortunately it looks way too much like the dress mil will be wearing. I don't want to be too matchy!

I have a plum gown, not floor length, but well past the knee for 5'2" Probably a 10-ish. Was altered from a thrift store find.

Straight column style. No flare in skirt.

Has beading on top & long sleeves. Round jewel neckline.

will pull it out & send you a picture from my phone if that sounds like it will work.

I have this one from davids bridal: Satin Gown with Side Drape & Brooch Style 8567 in plum. Size 14 (im tall and needed the length) and had it taken in. I also added 2 straps, and have a shell to match.

Thanks kuggle, but I think the kallah wants floor length. (she has a million sisters and I just do not want to stand out!) But great idea with the thrift store! I haven't gone that route yet, but I might have to check them out.

Did you go to a Nordstrom store, or check online? I don't know your price range, but if you looked in their store, check them out online. They have a few plum gowns online, (click the color on the top of the page) and they ship. Can be returned to a local store if you are near one.
I ordered many gowns from them for myself and my daughters for my son's wedding...UPS was a regular visitor.
None of their gowns, however, have sleeves, so you'd need a good dressmaker to build it up or a shell.

There is a store in boro park I think its called the shell station or shell stop. They have many colors and if not available they can dye the shell. I don't know the pricing for the shells or the custom dye, though I heard upwards of $70. They may have an option to ship.

David's Bridal does have several long dresses on their website that come in plum, but looks like they all would need some sort of shell. I don't know how long it takes to order/shipping, I've never actually ordered from there before.
