I had some extra cooked rice a few weeks away that I froze. I once had defrosted rice that was yuck. Any tips to defrosting it so that it will still taste yummy? It originally was cooked with chicken, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I find that the rice has to be cooked perfectly (no grains sticking to each other), then rinsed and drained like pasta before double wrapping and freezing.
To serve, defrost fully on the counter, then keep tightly wrapped and heat until steaming. If you don't heat it through until really really hot, it will not taste good at all.
