My sister bought a GE refrigerator with no Shabbos mode and no external switch to tape up. What can she do to make it Shabbos user friendly?
model number gfsf6pkbabb

Unscrew the light bulb. Afaik that's all you have to do. But I'm not familiar with Shabbos mode refrigerators.

Does it say somewhere in the programming manual how to do it?

Can she google the model of refrigerator and "how to turn off light"

Newer fridges can be more complicated than just a light going on. They have sensors that can be activated when you open the fridge.

okay I guess I'm bored enough

called the GE company who says there must be a sabbath mode & you should find on the external control panel 2 buttons "lock" & "light" & press them at the very same time for 5 seconds - it should turn off the lights .

same way to turn them back on

at worst if that does not work - you can actually take out all the lights - but that will take time & effort since they're not readily accessible

hope it helps
