gluten free lentil buger recipe?

Lentil Burgers makes about 12 burgers
1/2 pound of dry brown lentils
1/2 a medium onion
1 tsp mustard
2 Tbs tomato paste
4 Tbs soy sauce (for gluten free use the type that has no wheat, for soy free maybe use some other savory sauce)
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 - 1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp your favorite spice mix (I use a cajun mix)
1/2-3/4 cups water
oil as needed

1. Soak the lentils in room-temp water for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Drain and rinse the lentils.
2. Grind up the onion, lentils, sauces, and spices in a food processor. Start adding 1/2 cup of water. Keep processing until you get a batter that sort of resembles a muffin batter. It will be a slightly chunky paste. You can add up to 1/4 cup more water if needed.
3. Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Use a pan with a good non-stick coating to prevent sticking. Scoop 1/4 - 1/3 cup of batter using a measuring cup, and plop scoops of batter in the hot pan. Use the back of a spoon to spread the burgers out a little and form circles. Make them about 1/2 inch thick. Cook about 3 minutes on each side.
4. Repeat: Continue making more burgers until you use up all the batter.
