I made meatballs late Wednesday night for Shabbos day. I was going to freeze them until Friday morning (and then defrost them in the fridge) but didn't have time to pack them into freezer containers, etc.. Can they still be eaten if they're refrigerated from Wednesday night to Shabbos afternoon? Is that gross? Thanks!!!

I find that meatballs actually improve after spending a day or two in the fridge. I always make them at least a day in advance. I also like being able to just lift off the fat that solidified during refrigeration.
