I don't know what you're looking for in a shule, but I think Beth Jacob is amazing. The people who davin there include Yeshivish and Modern Orthodox, with a smattering of schtrimel wearers. Pluses for me include it's Zionistic; very open to new Jews; Rabbi Feldman is super; and there's lots of Southern hospitality mixed with frumkeit. B.J. is a very welcoming place.
I haven't davined often at Y.I. From what I saw, it's is more modern--at least it was last time I was there.
And don't forget the nearby kosher Chinese restaurant at Kroger's!
