I don't know much about Colgate, but my dentist told me that several patients have been coming in with rough patches inside their cheeks / on the pallet. Many asked for biopsies and BH they have come back benign. What they did discover is that it is caused by a reaction to a chemical used in Crest's toothpastes! He didn't say that the chemical is dangerous, just thought it was an interesting time to bring it up. I use Sensodyne.

Wow. Makes me want to go back to baking soda, like the Delaney sisters. (And I think this was the dentist.)

Problems with Triclosan have been 'out there' for years though this is the first time I am hearing about an association with cancer. I avoid any toothpaste with the ingredient. I used Total years ago and had some sort of reaction and my dentist said I must be sensitive to the Triclosan. I've also heard about problems with it as an ingredient in anti-bacterial soaps.
