My boss is helping me to stabilize my job situation in to something long term. I want to thank her with a tasteful, personal gift.
I cannot spend a lot for financial reasons, and also because it may be seen as 'buying' the help by people higher in the food chain. I am thinking $20-40 maximum.
She likes shoes. She likes wine. She is an active Catholic, but not hard core. She is a hard worker. She is married, no kids.
I am not in NYC, so no NYC related ideas will work.
Any ideas?

Does she have a company logo? you can make her a personalized travel coffee mug. Those cost roughly $30 on Shutterfly.com

My husband often buys colleagues/workers wine as a gift.
Otherwise a small house type gift, tray, pitcher, vase, etc

A fancy wine opener ( google it at bed bath and beyond) or wine saver for opened bottles. A case for her business cards .

I bought my boss a nice fruit platter as a thank you. I had it sent to his home so his family could all enjoy it
