my husband pulled a recipe from a paper and brought it home telling me to make it
it got lost
it looked like a very easy recipe -- a basic cake recipe and then baking as balls and putting confectionous sugar on the outside
can anyone help me with a recipe?

A standard cake ball recipe is to bake a basic cake, crumble it up very well, mix in ready made frosting until it is a consistency that can be rolled into balls. Roll into balls, then either freeze and dip in melting chocolate, etc. If you want to do powdered sugar, then I wouldn't freeze them; just roll in powdered sugar after rolling into balls.
