I will be using store-bought readymade cholent this week. How do I reheat this halachically on Shabbos? I use a plug-in hot plate. Or do people just leave it on all Shabbos on the hot plate? If so, what's the best way to do so? Thanks?

Why not she has a question and tried finding out if it was answered in the past before asking. I think that is comendable.
But I do here your point though that she should just start a new thread instead of bumping which I think she did since

Heat it up before shabbos on the stove, and then put it on the hotplate until you eat it.

Add some water or chicken soup before reheating.
