Ours broke recently, and now I see them advertised anywhere from 9.99 to fancy panini makers that are almost $80. Most are in the 15-25 range. Is there any advantage to getting one that's more expensive or on the higher end of the middle? Are the 9.99 ones junk? We're not THAT particular about looks.

I was only particular about the fact that the plates be removable for easy clean up. The kids say they don't like the taste. So that was the end of the sandwich machine in our house.
