Looking for ideas to take a day trip alone in NJ. Any relaxing ideas?

my idea of the best day trip alone would be swimming in the pool for an unlimited period of time, and treating myself to lunch and a shoppping spree. Is that the kind of thing you mean, or are you looking for somehwere specific to go to and explore?

Yes....would love to sit by a pool and read a book then walk around either on a boardwalk, go shopping. Any ideas where to do this in nj?
