To me, they look too shabbosdik for school shoes! Don't you want something a bit more sturdy for daily wear?

when I was little, I wore shoes like those to school and for shabbos. I think they're fine either way.

They are classic girl shoes. Meaning that for vochen with a uniform it's probably a more of a neat look than a detailed venittini style. definitely can be used for both, vochen and shabbos.

The look very nice but will they be as comfortable as a more sneaker type for so many hours, running around etc? I'd choose comfort over appearance at that age...heck, any age?

The sole on the second one is much better. I think it'll look fine plus it'll match so many other things.

They both look great IMO.
The navy ones a bit classier though?

I like the navy patent the best.
Clarks makes great quality comfort shoes. They're a very well know brand but they are not trendy in the ridiculous (and stupid) frum world of fashion. I actually just bought a pair of clarks kids for my daughter so I don't yet know firsthand about the kids line but I've owned a few pairs myself. (they are generally not that trendy but some are stylish)
Honestly, if you're worried about something holding up, buy it from a place like Nordstrom's where they'll take it back if it fell apart in an unreasonable amt of time.

we've had those shoes (in neon pink with yellow soles) and they held up well. however, we just bought some umi flats a couple of weeks ago, and the soles are coming off after five wears. buy them from a site with free returns just in case.

their kids shoes are great. my kids always outgrow them before there's any structural issue. I don't hand shoes down, so I can't tell you exactly how long they'll last, but they should certainly be good for the year.

Thank you, MamaBear. I may consider Clark's for ds.
I assume the navy Umi shoes are not available in bigSmile 's daughter' s size, or she would've considered the navy instead of the black.

different sellers may stock different sizes. it's worth it to look around.

I buy my kids at least one pair of Clark's per season. They hold up well.
