How do you get smelly shoes to be non-smelly? I read online something about putting them in the freezer, so I tried that, but it didn't help. I'm a little wary of using baking soda, because I'm afraid that it'll be stuck in the shoe and make it feel all grainy...
Any tips?

I once read that putting newspaper sheets in shoes will make the smell go away. If you try it and it works, please let us know!

Baking soda is powdery, it won't feel grainy and it works!

Actually, IME baking soda does feel grainy, but fine grains and not really uncomfortable. Just shake it out before donning the shoes, or use the crevice tool of your vacuum cleaner to vacuum it out, because it can be rather drying to the skin. You can also use charcoal briquettes, but wrap them first in a tissue or cloth so you don;t get black marks on your feet.
