How old is your DS? The suggestions will vary greatly depending on his age!

hes 6. I did try to use nasal spray. but I dont want to get used to doing it such a weird way. any suggestions. I did think that if he gets used to blowing his nose every morning it would elliminate alot of problems.

If it is runny, try telling him to blow it and handing him a tissue. You may have to teach him how to do it.

If he touches his nose with his hands, send him to wash them. Eventually, he'll catch on that blowing his nose is less inconvenient than having to go wash hands all the tme. But it takes time.

Be patient and firm. Make sure that he doesn't have allergies or other medical conditions that can cause a frequently runny nose. Make sure he sees other family members using tissues. Talk out loud when you do. "Oh, I need a tissue right now. I'm going to use one so I don't get messy."

Be patient and consistent. Some kids learn this really slowly.

Hatzlacha!
