I would like to serve green beans as the vegetable for a siyum seudah. I am looking for a quick and easy way to prepare them, so they can be reheated on the plata or in the oven. Any suggestions? (Unfortunately, my garlic press is broken, so no crushed garlic, please.)

Clean and trim green beans. Microwave covered for a short time (depends on quantity). Add margarine and salt, and maybe toasted almonds.

Want a little fancier? Clean and microwave as above, slightly undercooked. Drain water from beans. Peel and flatten (with broad part of knife) 4 cloves garlic. Mix 2-3 T soy sauce with 1 t sugar. Heat oil in wok or pan. Add garlic, stir fry until starting to brown. Add beans, stir fry for 3 min on high. Lower heat, add soy/sugar, cook covered 5 min or so until beans are soft and absorbing sauce.

Clean and trim green beans. Drizzle with oil and toss to coat.
Arrange on cookie sheets and bake in oven preheated to 400 for 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste (garlic optional). Garnish with sesame seeds.
This is so simple, you can prep ahead of time and place in oven for 8 minutes before the seuda.
P.S. I would love to attend one of your siyums!

Thanks! let me know next time you are here in E"Y. It will be nice to have company in the kitchen! (Though this time 3 women are coming, bez"H.)
I will be using frozen green beans. I assume it is the same recipe, though.

Steam green beans for 3-5 minutes (fill a medium sized pot with about an inch of water, boil. Put a metal drainer on top/inside the pot. Put veggies inside the drainer. Cover the drainer well.)
Mix soy sauce and honey (around same amount of each.. Maybe a bit more soy sauce than honey) and pour over the green beans.

I just made this with frozen greenbeans recently:

Saute mushrooms and onions. Add frozen green beans with salt, pepper, garlic powder and just enough soy sauce to lightly coat the vegetables. Keep on fire until the green beans have heated through. They still had a crunch to them but if you don't like that you can keep it on the flame longer.

I made last week green beans in the oven, they came out really good

Put frozen green beans on tray with sliced cherry tomato, teriyaki sauce, spices-salt and black pepper, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, mix all together.
cover and put in oven at 160 degrees for about 45 min

I actually buy the pre washed and trimmed greenbeans and also microwave them for 3 mins. Put in ice bath.

I add sea salt and garlic oil (roast peeled cloves in oil covered- use on everything) or just olive oil and garlic powder

Easy enough?

You can add sunflower seeds or almonds
