cookbook gift ideas

Visiting a friend who is really into cooking and baking and in to cookbooks- she has all the Susie Fishbein books and most of the older cookbooks- any new ones out maybe from the past year or two that you have tried and think is becoming the new 'in' cookbook?

Does she have the Bais Yaakov Cookbook? Never tried a recipe in there that I didn't like.

Thanks! Do you think it is tacky to give like hand towels or oven mitts with it?

I third the BY cookbook! And why tacky? Sounds like a complete gift set.......Stores like Tips and Toque in Lakewood will make you a gift basket with oven mitts, spatulas and the cookbook of your choice. I got something like that once and I loved it........
