I am a new challah baker. I am using the no-fail recipe but forgot I have to go out tonight.I will have time to shape and let it rise (maybe) but not to wait for it to come out of the oven. Where and how is the best way to stop the process?

Shape it, then put it in the fridge. When you get home let it come to room temp and then let it rise the usual amount and bake.
