Where can I buy nice, everyday, not shlumpy, long black skirts for myself online?
I am not very good at noticing what people wear, but I would like to try to wear the kind of skirts that other moms wear to carpool and the grocery etc...
It's hard for me though because I don't even know what to look for, or what those skirts are called.
I've only recently figured out that I dress very differently than most people, (which is fine) but now I want to make an effort to wear clothes more similar to what other moms wear.
Please - no judgement!!!!
I'm asking for your help because it's really hard for me to be observant about noticing clothes and I'd really love if someone could point me in the right direction.

I'm just like you ... one day I wake up and notice that I look so different. It usually take me a while to catch on.

Do you mean the long casual black skirt or the knee length (pencil) skirt?

Why is this important to you?
Anyhow, if all your buddies are wearing these skirts, why not just ask one of them?

I dislike skirts that shorten my stride.

And is that model photoshopped, or are her legs really 12 feet long?

The Karisma (sp?) skirt is very trendy right now.
Seems like the whole world has it.
Looks like a cute comfy skirt, I would buy it.
Don't know where it's sold.
Otherwise, Junees always has cute skirts. Just about every skirt I own is from Junees (other than some dress skirts from another store)

Op I am in exactly the same situation except I am short and overweight. Any suggestion for plus size stores with the same plain long black soft skirts?
TIA

It must be tough in the galut. Here in E"Y you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a store selling black skirts of every length. Smile

I am not thrilled about Junee's quality.

Many national mail order brands have black skirts, Land's End (good on price, range of sizes, styles), and JJill (slightly better quality)

For the mature female shape, Eileen Fisher and Talbots have well-made black skirts. Talbots has well-cut pencil for the office. Eileen Fisher is an upscale brand that makes older women look great, while covering.
