Nope, especially since it was her own hair. A note is sufficient in my opinion.

As a parent, I don't see the need. I'm going to find out at dismissal time. This is not an emergency. I'm not going to come whoosh her off the the hairdresser in the middle of the school day to repair it.
Or did you mean to call after school? Also not necessary. A note is fine.
