does nut flour need a special hechsher? where do you buy yours? buying it by the little bag seems very expensive... would you have an internet source?

The best deal is usually on amazon. I buy a five lb bag of honeyville for around $40. Saves me a few dollars to buy in bulk and you can store it in your fridge/freezer for ages. It has a hechsher.

Shop Rite has it and so does Amazon.

According to the CRC, almond flour does not need hashgacha. http://matzav.com/chicago-rabb.....-2013
I buy it locally (but I'm OOT) at various Asian markets. Much less expensive there than at Whole Foods or similar places.

Just make sure it's not produced in Israel - then you run into trumos, maasros and shmitta - and would need a good hechsher. (Or call the OU kosher hotline, they'll explain to you).

Where do you live? If you live in Monsey, Hatzlacha grocery has it. Or if you live in Montreal, I bought two bags of almond flour there, gave it to my mother but it was never used.
