I pay $12/hour for one full day. I used to pay $10/hour for 4 hours twice a week.

 You sound like me three months ago. I never had cleaning help, couldn't find anyone reliable and recommended - I only like to use someone who has worked for (trustworthy) friends of mine. For over 6 years I had no help! Then I moved and my new neighbors had this woman who b"H "just happened" to have an open slot. I lucked out.
Oh, and I speak a semi-passable Spanish so where her English is limited we can communicate (sort of, with lots of gesturing).
