Can I peel and cut up the kohl rabbi and the fennel, to use during Chag?
Will it turn brown?
How should I store it?
TIA

They definitely will be less crispy and might turn a little dingy looking. But not tragic.

Will keeping them in cold water, like with potatoes, help?
Please only let me know if you tried this before?

I've never tried cold water. Sometimes I cut up kohlrabi and fennel in advance but I dress the salads before refrigerating so it's more of a marinated type. That keeps it white but they do get less crisp, possibly from the acid in the dressing.

No, this is a rabbi who gives a hechsher on Shabbos eye makeup.

Maybe she meant to say "Cold Rabbi". I suggest a warm dressing.

In a previous post (Death of A Bosch), I mentioned maybe for this coming year I'll be a comedian.
Ima mothers, Keep me laughing.
Sometimes I need it.
Shana Tova, May you all have happiness in your lives, with peace, health, wealth, and may we speedily see The Geula.

I finally understood the title enough to open the thread.
So, just what is the Kohl Rabbi doing with the fennel?
Using it for kaparos?

Fennel will turn brown and dry out if you just cut/shred and leave as they are.
However, I make fennel salad with shaved/shredded fennels and vinaigrette,
which can easily last 2days or so in the fridge (not longer as it gets eaten up quickly).
