I have mikvah first night Rosh Hashana. Can I shower when I get home? Last time I had yom tov mikva, I left the chlorinated water on my hair and I was itchy all yom tov.

If I can shower, how do I avoid squeezing my hair? Can I wrap it in a towel? I have guests that night, so I'll need to wrap in a tichel or something while still wet.

Come to think of it, can I even wrap my tichel to cover my head to walk home? Usually I wring out my hair and dry it a bit before leaving the mikvah.

For showering, use cool water, wash only one body part at a time under the running water and use liquid soap only.

For hair, pat gently with towel. Avoid washing hair if possible.

Thank you for your reply.

The biggest "need" for the shower is to wash my hair and get the chlorine out. My mikva is extremely chlorinated. I stink of chlorine afterwards, and it itches my scalp if I don't shampoo afterward. I can't imagine leaving it in 3 days Sad
