My toddler loves to climb and run, she also enjoys pretend play specifically dolls, and she's fascinated by animals and trucks and cars. I don't want a place that will be overcrowded with older kids, and also not a place with lots of walking like Bronx zoo.
We've been to the usual, prospect park zoo etc.
manhattan will probably be jammed because of Columbus Day.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Brooklyn Childrens Museum has a section for kids under 5. they have a water play, sand play, some arts and crafts, a soft play area, a little slide, reading corner, puppet/dress up thingy. they don't let in older kids. in the other parts of the museum there might be stuff that is interesting for her too, my kids loved the sandbox and greenhouse.
