Regarding taste - if you absolutely hate coconut flavored anything than it might not be for you but usually the strong taste of chocolate added will over power it and you might not taste anything coconuty. I have found many people hate the texture of coconut flakes and the flavor is not bothersome. Have you had chicken in coconut milk/curries before? It is a different taste than what you would taste with a macaroon. I have a good friend who would eat the chocolate pie/mousse with no problem but would not eat a crust made of coconut flakes/flour as it tastes too strong for her.

It's like a liquid macaroon. It's pretty coconutty, and I added chocolate, sugar and licquor.
