Hi - someone I really respect has suggested to me to learn the Lubavitcher Rebbe's sicha on Chana's tefillah. They gave me the reference of Likkutei Sichos Volume 29, pages 182-188. I see that it was written in Yiddish and I don't know Yiddish at all. Is there an English translation out there online? I did try to google a bit and came up with some audio lectures on it but I'd rather read a direct translation of the Rebbe's words (versus what may be someone's interpretation on it) as that was what has been suggested to me. Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

If you want to sent me a copy of the Yiddish I could translate it for you....
Disclaimer: I'm not Lubavitch.

I can translate it for you if you could wait a few days. Maybe by Friday?

The link to it online is not loading now, will have to try again later. I wouldn't want to trouble someone to translate it for me, it's not short! But the offers are incredibly sweet. I'm still hoping someone will know where if at all it can be found online. Greenfire - good to know but I don't have access to an English Likkutei Sichos.

the person who suggested reading it should help guide you to an english copy ...

quite often a specific sicha can be purchased in a pamphlet

also try looking for the subject on-line

OK, I found a site that may have what I need http://www.chabad.org/therebbe.....t.htm but I'm confused because I don't see a Volume 29. Is there anyone that has the lekutei sichos that can tell me where I can look on this link for Vol. 29 page 182? Which parsha the sicha about Chana relates to? THANKS!

Only volumes 6-10 are available in English, and those are available in full online. On my phone, but www.sie.org is the main website and you can follow the links (read our books, likkutei sichos) if you're looking for something in one of those volumes. Unfortunately, the sicha you're looking for is available in Hebrew but not English.

I do translation for publications pretty often. I'm pushing a deadline right now, but I can do it later this week if you're still looking.

I really appreciate you wanting to help! These articles do not appear to be translation of the Rebbe's words but I do appreciate it!

I do free translation for publications pretty often. I'm pushing a deadline right now, but I can do it later this week if you're still looking.

Ahhh, so I'm not crazy and my google skills aren't horrible with me not being able to find Vol 29 online in English. Are you familiar enough with the sicha to know how long it is before making that offer? If I can't otherwise get it can I take you up on it? I'll PM you. Thank you SOSOSO much, I can't believe someone would make that offer to a stranger. Ashrecha Yisrael!

http://www.hebrewbooks.org/pdf.....m=197 this is it in Yiddish

sie.org seems to take excerpts, it does not look like this is translated online in text format, although concepts may be in articles online

The sichah of Chana is either close to Rosh Hashana when we read the story of Chana or Vov Tishrei, the yahrtzeit of the Rebbe's mother, Rebbetzin Chana.
In general it speaks about the woman's immeasurable value and irreplaceable role as the mother of her child/ren. This is not a translation of the sicha, but it includes some wonderful thoughts and ideas.

I know the sicha well, so the translation won't take that long. Really just the time type.

Thank you. I was specifically directed to the sicha in order to answer a question/conflict I have. So while other thoughts/ideas are great and I'm not trying to be difficult or stubborn here, I really need the translation of the sicha itself.

Amazing. Thank you. You should be g'bentched. Hatzlacha on your deadline and I'll be in touch. (Scrabble, thanks tons for your offer too, if miyodea can do it for me it probably makes sense since she's well familiar with it. Thank you so much though!)

Pei Daled, starting on the bottom. Sorry, I looked all over and can't find a translation of the beginning. I can't offer to type it all up but if you want to do it orally over the phone...
