A friend of mine lives in Lakewood, and has no family or friends, nearby.
She is due at the end of December.
Is there anyone that provides meals for the first week, or so, for 2 adults.
Is there a Shifra Puah in Lakewood, that I can call to arrange this?
TIA

I have no idea, but you can check the Gemach listing in the BP. The complex where I live, the neighbors provide the suppers.

I don't live in Lakewood.
If anyone have any info it would be appreciated.
They don't know anyone and both families live a plane ride away.

Is this a tzedaka situation? If so we can probably help you find organizations that provide food to the needy. If not, why don't they pay for meals? Can they freeze in advance if the husband is not capable of cooking for whatever reason?

IME usually neighbors or friends arrange meals. (I dont live in Lakewood tho)

As someone who doesnt live near my SIL's when they have babies I give them a gift certificate to a local take out store- I give enough for a full friday night meal plus delivery, but they can use it whenever they like (and save on delivery/get more food if the DH can pick it up)

Thanks for all suggestions.
What's the best place to order food from in lakewood?
Something on the healthier side since I know they are into that.
Also, mom92 can you get me the number of the bikur Cholim in lakewood.

At this time, I know my friend is feeling very weak and can hardly manage her house responsibilities, so cooking and freezing is probably out of the question.

Her husband helps a bit with the cleaning, laundry, and errands, but from what she tells me is clueless in the kitchen, and makes too much of a mess.
