Baby bris outfit, baby is not born yet.
Both come in white, but look at the blue to better appreciate the design.
Choice A
http://www.feltmanbrothers.com.....bles/
Pros: very elegant, comes in newborn size up to 12lbs.
Cons: plain, no hat
Choice B
http://www.feltmanbrothers.com.....-hat/
Pros: very elegant with more design, beautiful hat
Cons: smallest size is 0-3 months, which according to size chart 12-16 lbs.
According to the size chart from top to crotch there is 1" difference. Is that too much of a difference. The width is the same.
Also, we would like to use the same outfit for the pidyon, if there is one B"H.
Which would you pick?

Don't the mohels like when the baby is in a gown vs. Something with legs?

If you want it to fit 30 days later, maybe 0-3 would be a better size anyway. And the hat is definitely a nice bonus.
So I'd pick option B that is a little bigger and comes with a hat.

Newborn size is not as likely to fit at one month. Do you have any idea how big the baby is estimated to be? I don't see the necessity of a hat.

Is borrowing from a gemach an option? That's what we did and we just picked the right size bris outfit from what they had.

I'm just the grandma, but both parents are on the petite size.
On the other hand my other grandson measured 221/2" when he was born, and both parents are petite. But today he's on the shorter side.

FYI - Many Mohelim request that the baby wear a two piece outfit. The pants need to come off for obvious reasons.
Also, some people have the Minhag for the baby to cover his head, hence the hat.

We always use a kippah not a hat. Why don't you ask the parents which they prefer?

Option b, because of the sizing for pidyon haben and because I like hats.

I was given clear instructions by the mohel to get a 2 piece outfit plus a hat. They removed the pants for the bris. There is less fussing than dealing with the buttons on the one piece after the bris.

I think B is way nicer. even if it wouldnt have the hat. and def the way to go if you want it to last till the pidyon haben. you can also use for future brissim... esp at that price.
and my mohel did not require pants- snaps along the legs worked fine for him.

I like the second one better. But why don't you ask the parents of the baby what they like better?

I love the cabled one, however a 0-3 month outfit will NOT fit at the pidyon if baby is born over 7-8 lbs.
If baby is big it may not even fit for the bris.

Op here
0-3 month, according to the size chart fits 12-16 lbs
Is this TOO large for a newborn.
OTOH
0-3 months is 1" longer, is that too big of a difference.
I don't know if 0-3 is TOO much extra material.
Can it get in the way of the mohel?
