I'm not familiar with the seminaries out there right now. I'm looking for a seminary for a girl who will be 17. I need something a little off the beaten path, NOT a bais Yaakov seminary. There used to be Michlelet Esther but it closed down. I heard there's one that focuses on hashkafa and art, but I can't find any info.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you.

Midreshet Tehilla is not really that academic. The girls are usually much less academically-inclined than the school is aiming for.

(alumna)

it's worth a try

I think that Tomer Devora is in Ramot.
I believe it's very similar to Scharfman's in that many girls applying to one will apply to the other.

Do you specifically want a chareidi/ yeshivish hanhala?
B/c there are plenty of tziyoni seminaries as well:
mmy
midreshet moriyah
harovah

Try Shaarei Bina in Tzfas, for hashkafa and art. I don't know very much about the place, I'm afraid, but I used to know someone who went there who liked it.

Thank you everyone. Is tiferet the same as tiferes? Because I thought that was for bais yaakov girls. This is for a girl who dropped out of school in 10th grade, she's very bright just hard family situations. She is growing tremendously now spiritually, but still wears short sleeves, sweatpants, etc. She wants to go to Israel to grow, but not to do much academic work. Hence the hashkafa emphasis I'm looking for.

Pninim might work. I think it is technically a BY seminary, but it does have those kind of girls. However, be aware it is one that was owned by E. Meisels so you should check very well before considering it.

I believe the seminary you're referring to is Midreshet Emunah V'Omanut. I don't know too much about it, but it has both Torah studies and art/music classes. I don't know what it's like hashkafically, but it might be worth looking into. Here's their website: http://www.emunahtorahart.org

My sister and cousin went there.
They had amazing and phenomenal experiences.
The school has a concentration on hashkafa, but they also allow for growth in either art AND/OR music.

The Debow's are amazing people.

Hm. Now that I have more info...why not check out Machon Maayan? They moved from Ramat Beit Shemesh to somewhere I can't seem to recall.
I know girls who have gone and done very well there.
