Can people post:
where you are located, what type of school you send to (coed- separate), what your hashgafa is, age of child and what your tuition is?

example:
new york, coed, modern orthodox, 25k, 10th grade?

or something

Chassidishe ppl can pay as low as $125 per child/month ........................................... I know someone who pays even less. The school just supports itself on donations from the chassidis and community

My experiences
Baltimore, separate, Litvish, in the 9s for elementary
Midwest, coed/separate (depends on the grade), community school, 8575 full tuition for elementary (automatic $100 taken off per kid meaning kid 2 is 8475 and kid 3 is 8375)....and then we have 4250 per child in state vouchers in my area, which makes the highest full tuition be 4225.

This is not including fees in either locations.

Lakewood, Yeshivish, Girls, 4500, Primary ($2500 building fee per family per lifetime)
Lakewood, yeshivish, Boys, 5300, 1st Grade ($5000 build fee per family per lifetime)
Lakewood, Yeshivish, boys, 5500, 3rd Grade

Each school has a dinner with recommended $500 donation. We will try to give $1800 per school if we can - its not easy for us but we love our children's schools and are grateful for the eduation our kids are getting. So we try to give extra the years that we are able. Plus its ma'aser so I'd rather it there then elsewhere.

Philadelphia, separate genders, day school with chariedi staff: in the $9,000
We get a decent amount in funding...to the tune of shaving off around 3-4,000 per kid.

NYC, separate, Yeshivish, Nursery , And here is what I don't understand- how can you say this is the tuition without fees? the tuition is 9700, and then there is 2800 in fees- which makes the tuition $12,500, which is a big difference!
so can someone explain that to me?
and the elementary tuition goes up to 12,400 without the fees!
this is my first child in school, but there is NO WAY I can continue with this

Monsey, Chassidishe cheder, we pay $7,200 a year.

We recently switched from a cheder where we paid about $4,800 a year, and I know that the average Chassidishe tuition for a yeshivah affiliated with a Chassidus is about $2,500 a year.

Many reasons. For one, they are largely supported by the wealthy individuals of the kehillah, and the buildings are all owned by and paid for by the administration of the kehilla. Another reason is because their teachers and rebbes are not qualified or educated, and therefore aren't paid on the same level as professional teachers are. Also, extracurricular activities are nonexistent, so that removes a chunk of expenses.

Legally the fees are tuition. They are just calling it fees to make it more palatable to the parents.
